Half the fun of anonymous messages is sharing the best ones, and answering them where everyone can see. DropAsecret turns a message into a share card, a picture made for your story, so you don't have to screenshot your inbox.
What you can share
Cards are story-sized (9:16), ready for Instagram, WhatsApp Status and Snapchat. You can make one for:
- A message, with your reply on it if you like
- A poll's results, when it closes
- A Drop, while it's live
- A reveal, after a sender has shown who they are
Each card has Share, which opens your phone's share options, and Download, which saves the picture.
Making a message card
Open a message and choose to share it. Before you post, you decide what goes on the card:
- Include my reply. Put your answer under the message, so your story shows the question and your response together.
- Hide my name. Leave your name off the card.
- Include the picture. If the message came with a picture, choose whether it goes on the card.
- Hide my link. Leave your link off the card itself.
- Hide letters. Tap any letter in the message to cover it, for a name or a detail you'd rather not show.
A message card shows nothing about who sent it. When you share it, your link goes in the caption, so people who see it can send you their own.
Picking a look
Cards come in themes:
- Minimal, Dark and Accent, free for everyone
- Glass, Cute, Neon, Campus and Love, on Plus
- Signature, on Creator Pro
Polls and Drops
When a poll closes, tap Share results to make a card with the final numbers. While a Drop is live, you can share it too, so people see the question and the countdown and come and answer before it ends. Here's how Drops and polls work.
Voice notes, as a video
Voice notes can't go on a picture, so they're shared as a short vertical video instead, with the voice playing, ready for Status and Stories. Like a card, it shows nothing about who sent it. Here's more on voice notes and voice masks.
Reveals
After a reveal, you can share the moment without giving anything away. The reveal card shows how long you talked and how many messages you sent before finding out who it was, with no names and no messages on it. Here's how reveals work.
A good habit
Before you share a message, read it once more as a stranger would. If it mentions someone by name, or a detail that could point to who sent it, use Hide letters to cover it.
