Drops and polls: two more ways to use your DropAsecret link
A Drop puts one question on your link until a countdown ends. A poll lets anyone vote once, anonymously. Here's how to run both, and how long they last.

Your DropAsecret link usually asks one thing, like "Tell me anything". Drops and polls let you ask something specific for a short time: a question with a countdown, or a vote with a few options.
Drops
A Drop is one prompt that takes over your link until a countdown ends. While it's on, everyone who opens your link sees your question and how long is left.
It's good for questions that have a moment: right after you post something, before an event, or when you want honest answers about one thing.
Starting one. From your inbox, start a Drop and write your prompt, up to 80 characters. If you don't write one, it uses your link's usual prompt. Then choose how long it runs:
| Plan | How long a Drop can run |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 hour or 6 hours, with up to 3 Drops a week |
| Plus | Up to 24 hours, with unlimited Drops |
| Creator Pro | Up to a weekend (3 days), and you can schedule one up to 30 days ahead |
While it's live, your link shows "Drop · ends in…" with the time left. You can end it early or share it.
When it ends, your link goes back to normal. Answers that come in after that arrive as regular messages.
Polls
A poll is a question with a few options. Anyone with your link can vote once, without an account. Votes are counted and never shown individually, and a vote can't be traced back to the person who cast it.
Setting one up:
- A question, up to 140 characters
- 2 to 4 options, each up to 60 characters
- How long it stays open, the same lengths as a Drop
- Show voters the results: whether people see the percentages after they vote. If you turn it off, only you see the results.
- Let voters add an anonymous comment: a short note alongside their vote.
Both switches are on to begin with. You can run one poll at a time.
While it's open, the poll takes over your link page. Voters see "Votes are anonymous" and, after voting, which option they picked. Comments arrive in your inbox, marked as poll comments.
When it closes, the poll stays on your link page for an hour and in your inbox for 24 hours, and your normal message box comes back. Tap Share results to make a card with the final numbers, ready for your story.
Getting more answers
- Ask something people have an opinion on. "Which one should I wear?" gets more votes than "Any thoughts?"
- Share it where your people are. Post it to your story or the group chat as soon as it starts. The countdown makes people answer now.
- Share the results. Posting the final card is often what gets people to answer the next one.
