Before you pay on Piazam: a checklist

On Piazam, your order goes to the factory the moment your payment clears. That's how the prices stay low, and it's also why an order can't be cancelled, even a few minutes later.

So the time to catch a mistake is before you pay. Here's what to check.

1. You can order

You need a free Piazam account. You sign up with your phone number, and we text you a code to confirm it. Your account is where you'll track your orders and pay for delivery later.

You must be 18 or older to place an order.

2. It's the right product

Look at the photos and the specifications, and pick the size, colour and model carefully. Since products come from China, there's no way to see them in person first, so the product page is what you're buying from.

If you're buying something that has to work with something you already own, like a charger or a phone case, check the specifications. Piazam doesn't refund an item that doesn't fit your setup when its specifications were listed.

3. Your cart reaches GH₵200

Every order needs at least GH₵200 of products, counted before shipping. You can mix any products to get there. If you're short, the checkout button tells you how much more to add.

Some low-priced products come with a minimum quantity, shown on the product as "Min", so check how many you're getting.

4. Each item ships the way you want

Every item in your cart has its own shipping choice. Sea is free and takes 30 to 60 days. Air takes 7 to 21 days and adds a set amount for each item. Here's how to choose.

5. Your delivery details are right

At checkout you give your region, city and phone number. You can also add a second phone number and your Ghana Post GPS address, which the location button can fill in for you. The more precise the address, the easier it is for the courier.

6. You'll be reachable

When your parcel lands in Ghana, we call you. When it's out for delivery, we text you a 4-digit code to give the rider. If we can't reach you, or can't complete delivery within 14 days of your arrival notice, the order is treated as forfeited. So use a number you'll answer, and add a second one if you have it.

7. You know what's paid now and what's paid later

At checkout, you pay for the products and any air shipping. Customs duties and import taxes are already handled.

Two things can come later:

• Delivery to your door. It's normally GH₵30 to GH₵100, set once your parcel is in Ghana. You pay it from My Orders before the courier sets off.
• Shipping for Pay on Arrival items. If you chose Pay on Arrival, you pay that shipping fee when your order lands.

8. You're ready to film the unboxing

If something arrives damaged, wrong or faulty, a refund depends on proof. For damage and defects, that means an unboxing video in one continuous take, starting with the sealed package. Get into the habit now. Here's how refunds work.

If you've already paid

If you notice a mistake in your delivery address, contact Piazam within 24 hours. It can be changed as long as the order hasn't shipped from China yet. For anything else, ask before you pay: email support@piazam.com or call the numbers on the contact page.
