Hello, we're Hexerize

Hexerize is a technology company from Ghana. We build useful apps for everyone.

This post is our introduction, so we'll start with the basics: who we are, what we've made so far, and how we work.

Who we are

Hexerize was founded in 2024 by Hexer and Izen, two software engineers from Ghana. Hexer is our CEO and leads product direction and day-to-day engineering. Izen is our COO and focuses on turning ideas into apps people can rely on.

We're early in our careers, and we treat that as a reason to work harder, not an excuse. We hold our work to a standard we'd be proud to put our names on. We pay attention to the details most people skip.

We don't take client work. In 2024 we took on a couple of client projects to fund the company while we built the things we really wanted to ship. Both are delivered, and we're not taking new gigs. Everything we build now is ours to run, so we build it the way we'd want to use it.

You can read more about us on the site.

What we build

We have three apps today. Two are live, and one is in development.

Piazam is for shopping. It's a pre-order store for fashion, electronics, beauty, and home goods, ordered factory-direct from China for up to 60% less than local retail. Shipping by sea is free, to anywhere in Ghana.

DropAsecret is for anonymous messages. You get your own link, and people can send you messages through it without saying who they are. You can reply back and forth, send voice notes through a voice mask, and run drops and polls. You can also pause your link, block senders, and report conversations. Names stay hidden until both people agree to reveal them. DropAsecret is for adults 18 and over, and people use it outside Ghana too.

HexerSMS is school management software for Ghanaian schools. It runs fees, registers, marks, and terminal reports for nursery, primary, and JHS schools, from any phone or laptop. Teachers take registers from their phone, and staff, pupils, and parents each get their own portal. It's still in development, but you can try the preview today.

That's shopping, anonymous messaging, and school management, with more on the way. You can see our apps in action on the site.

From Ghana, for everyone

Ghana is where we're based, and it's where our ideas start. Each app begins with something we've watched not work, close to home, rather than a market we read about online.

Starting close to home doesn't mean building only for home. A problem worth solving here is usually worth solving somewhere else too. Our mission is to build useful apps for everyone. Our vision is a portfolio of apps people everywhere rely on.

So Ghana is where we come from. The people we build for can be anywhere.

How we work

A few ideas shape how we build.

We start from use. An app should answer a real problem we've seen people deal with, not a trend we picked up somewhere.

We build to last. We want software that holds up over years, not weeks. That means putting our time into foundations that keep paying off, instead of features that fall apart later.

We ship early and keep improving. Working software in people's hands beats perfect software in our heads. We'd rather put something useful out, hear what people think, and make it better than wait for a perfect version that never arrives.

We keep learning. Building software that matters means getting better all the time. We try to get a little better with every app we ship.

That's also why feedback matters to us. If you tell us which app you were using and what happened, we'll take a look. We read everything.

Say hello

If you use Piazam or DropAsecret, we'd like to hear what works for you and what doesn't. If you run a school and want early access to HexerSMS, tell us about your school and we'll let you know when it opens up. If you just want to say hello, that's welcome too.

Write to us at info@hexerize.com. We reply within a day.
